There’s just a few weeks left in summer but still so much to do in New York City! We’ve created a bucket list of 5 things you must do in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens before the season comes to an end.
1. Try for a Hole-In-One
Enjoy the 18-hole mini golf course that overlooks the Red Hook Channel and Hudson River while eating a delicious menu of chicken wings and fish and chips! Learn more about Brooklyn Crab here.
2. Catch a Movie Under the Stars
Bring your own blanket and popcorn! Annie, Ghostbusters and The Wiz are just a few of the kids’ movies you can catch for free at one of New York City’s many parks and outdoor spaces. Check out the full schedule here.
3. Go For a Swim
Check out the city’s largest pool, the Astoria Park Pool, and go for a swim while making some friends! The pool lies in the shadow of the Manhattan skyline and is 330 feet long! Learn more about the pool’s hours, rules and location here.
4. We’re Going on a Picnic!
Pick up some delicious foods from the artisanal vendors at Smorgasburg and enjoy them at the East River State Park! The park overlooks the Manhattan skyline from Williamsburg and is equipped a large green field, making it the prime picnic spot.
5. Sign Up for a Fall Art Class!
Ok, ok! So summer really is coming to an end. Having a fall art class at Kids at Art to look forward to is a bittersweet way to finish off the summer. Check out the schedule of upcoming classes, which begin on September 16, and sign up here!
