Spring is Blooming at Kids at Art

A few weeks ago, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow — predicting six more cold weeks of winter. But with temperatures in the 50s and tons of rain, we’ve been preparing for spring blooms here at the Kids at Art studio!
Here’s some of the projects we’ve been working on to get ready for spring.
Oil Pastel Landscapes
The sun is shining in these landscapes, so let’s pull out our sunglasses and daydream of summer!
Animal Sculptures
Spring is the perfect time of year for trips to the zoo. We’re creating these awesome animal sculptures in honor of our next visit.
Handmade Wind Socks
Everyone knows spring in New York City can be particularly windy — especially if you’re close to the river. We’ve making these colorful wind socks to hang outside our window and dance in the wind.

Singing and Dancing
Everyone knows the best way to stay warm is by moving to the music. We’ve been having a blast singing and dancing to some guitar-strong songs in our brand new Art and Music class.
Hosting Spring Break Art Workshops!
Between March 26 and April 6, we’re hosting special Spring Break Art Workshops! In these half-day sessions (between 9AM and 12PM), we will focus on special spring art projects like mask-making, puppet-making, and paper mache. There’s still room – reserve your spot ASAP so you can join in on the spring break fun!
Don’t forget to follow @KidsAtArtNYC on Instagram to get more updates on all the fun we’re having in the studio!
