If you love art like us, you know how exciting art festival season can be! We fantasize about traveling the world to see all different kinds of art in unimaginable forms. We’ve compiled our dream list of art festivals that we’d LOVE to attend this year.
This festival is one of the oldest art festivals in the world! Attracting nearly 30,000 visitors a year, this festival is a one-of-a-kind chance to view iconic contemporary art from all over Europe, and the world.
2. Art Basel
The original Art Basel took place in Switzerland, but this festival now travels to Hong Kong and Miami Beach as well. With large-scale installations and artist fireside chats, Art Basel is definitely a unique event that attracts many art lovers.
In addition to it’s originating city of London, Frieze also takes place in our very own backyard of NYC’s Randall’s Island, which we love! You can attend Frieze in May in New York or, more traditionally, in London in October.
If you’re craving a unique outdoor art experience unlike any other, Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial is the art festival for you. Over 300 different artists showcase their pieces in natural settings, including empty fields and closed schools. Talk about an escape!
