The weather is getting pretty frightening outside, so we’ve got a list of the perfect distractions. After you sign up for one of our winter/spring art classes, get involved in one of the below activities for some wintery fun!
1. Visit the Origami Tree
The tree at the American Museum of Natural History (79th Street and Central Park West) is themed “The Power of Poison” this year. Here, you’ll find a tree made out of origami mushrooms, poison ivy, jellyfish and more!

2. Check out the Holiday Train Show
The New York Botanical Gardens (Bronx River Parkway) knows how to do winter! Visit the gardens to see a gigantic diorama of gorgeous crafted trains running through a New York City scene.

3. Go on a Quest for the Best Hot Chocolate in New York City
Start with TimeOut.com‘s list, which includes a Sea Salt Caramel Cocoa from Shake Shack (Madison Square Park) and a Frozen Hot Chocolate at the Chocolate Room (269 Court Street)!
