You can’t argue with the fact that New York is a beautiful place to be in the Autumn. With colorful leaves on the trees and a cool breeze in the air, New York gives off an irresistible energy that inspires us all season long.
We always make the trip to Hudson Valley every fall to escape the city for a weekend and take in the fresh air, scenic views and enjoy some sweet treats.
Need some convincing to take the ride to Hudson Valley for a day or weekend? Here are three reasons you should make the trip.
1. Exceptional Fall Foliage Scapes
Central Park is a sight to see in the fall, but if you’re craving breathtaking acres of colorful leaves and tall trees, highways such as Route 212 provide expansive stretches. Roll the window down a crack and take in the scenic views.
2. Delicious Meals
The Hudson Valley is home to a flourishing culinary scene. Whether you’re craving a fresh farm-to-table meal or Italian cuisine, there are a variety of restaurants that you must bookmark and taste. Check out Kingston (link to TripAdvisor page) and Woodstock on TripAdvisor for some great suggestions.
3. Apples and Pumpkins
One of the best parts of fall is picking your own apples and pumpkins to bring home for baking, carving and decorating. The Hudson Valley offers dozens of orchards and farms that are perfect for a few hours of picking.
