2013: A Year of Portraits, Cityscapes, and More!

We had a wonderful 2013 here at Kids art Art. From children’s birthday parties to art classes for kids to special events like the Kid Row fairs, we really put our creative minds to work! Here is a recap of our favorite art projects and proudest art moments of the year.

Animal Drawings: Half Real, Half Drawn
We experimented with mixed media and challenged ourselves with symmetry by using half of a photo as a guide for filling in the other side.

Juice Container Sculptures
We used materials from outside to box to create these colorful sculptures.

Decorated Umbrellas
The rainy summer did not stop us from having fun! We embraced the weather by designing and decorating our very own umbrellas.

Life Sized Costume Portraits
For Halloween, we created self portraits of us wearing our special costumes.

Holiday Celebrations With Menurkeys
In honor of Thanksgiving and the first night of Hannukah falling on the same day, we created festive Menorahs that look like turkeys.

Kids at Art Holiday Windows
Last but not least, we are very proud of our holiday window display complete with a tree and a collection of projects from the year’s past!
