Let your child’s creative spirit run free at New York’s premier art studio. Whether it’s painting, drawing, or sculpture, kids will enjoy creating their own works of art at our uniquely equipped studio on the Upper East Side of NYC.
For over a decade, Kids at Art has provided the perfect environment for nurturing, non-competitive art programs where children can learn and create freely. Our age-appropriate art classes for kids 2 – 12 years old focus on the basics of visual arts and are a challenge to a child’s inventiveness, helping to develop his or her imagination. We offer a varied arts program, including creative art classes, fashion design & sewing classes, drawing from the model, and more. At Kids at Art, class size is limited so everyone receives individual attention.
We also host the most creative and fun birthday parties in town! In addition to the wide variety of art projects available, we offer karaoke and disco parties hosted by a fabulous DJ!
And if you’re no longer a kid, we’re now offering great classes for older artists as well! From a portfolio class for teens to art classes and life drawing sessions for adults of all ages, Kids at Art has something for everyone!

Who We Are
Wendy Miller, founder and principal instructor at Kids at Art, is a multifaceted artist who believes every child has the ability to tap into his or her own imagination and powers of observation to create things of beauty. After careers in the worlds of professional photography and fashion and running a unique personalized greeting card business, Wendy, a fitness fanatic and former marathon runner, decided to focus entirely on her first love – working to stimulate and enhance the artistic capabilities of children. Her own works have been exhibited and have won awards at leading museums. She holds a BFA degree from Washington University.
James taught high school art for eight years in Manchester, UK, before moving to the United States four years ago and has been with Kids at Art ever since. He is a professionally trained artist who holds a BA in Fine Arts, Art History, and Interactive Art & Photography.
Sindi started knitting as a teenager so she could make baby blankets for her six nieces and nephews. She then found the love of crocheting as a young adult so she could make handbags and baskets for her friends and family. As a Zumba Kids® instructor, she decided to combine her love of teaching kids with crochet to teach this amazing craft to children of all ages. She’s been teaching at public and private schools in Manhattan and is now bringing this class to Kids at Art.
